WELCOME!
This blog consists mostly of common sense responses to happenings (news articles, political events, etc) that just cry out for someone to say "WHOA! Hang on a second, here!" Too many people get away with just inventing their own facts as they bull-rush their way through an argument.

Unless you're dodging a taxicab or sidestepping a falling gargoyle, it's usually wise to take what time is available to evaluate and apply actual common sense. Good, old wisdom. It is, of course, my opinion, but I'll try to show why I think it's factual.
Thomas Paine said, "To argue with someone who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead." ... but I argue with drunks, egomaniacs, anti-gun Statists, Socialist/Keynesians and climate-fraud peddlers, too.

**PLEASE share this around. I didn't research, consider, write and post this junk just to have it hidden.
And feel free to comment.**

“Propaganda” indeed.

In a front page article, “Noncitizen totals drop” of the 10-6-10 San Bernardino Sun, James Rufus Koren states that, based on census data, illegal immigration is down and any report to the contrary is “misinformation” and “Republican Party and tea party propaganda”.  There is a reason why a growing majority of people no longer believe the “mainstream” media, and this is a prime example.

The reason they know better is that they are checking original sources and have learned that the majority of reporting is biased or just plain made up.  The reason Progressives lie is that there is money and power in big government.

The article repeatedly refers to U.S. Census data as proof of citizenship status.  According to the Census Bureau, there was no reference to immigration in the 2010 count.  They spent tens of millions of dollars advertizing that it was “safe” for illegal aliens to answer the census.  Here are the questions:
1) How many people were living or staying in this house, apartment, or mobile home on April 1, 2010?
2) Were there any additional people staying here April 1, 2010 that you did not include in Question 1?
3) Is this house, apartment, or mobile home: owned with mortgage, owned without mortgage, rented, occupied without rent?
4) What is your telephone number?
5) Please provide information for each person living here. Start with a person here who owns or rents this house, apartment, or mobile home. If the owner or renter lives somewhere else, start with any adult living here. This will be Person 1. What is Person 1's name?
6) What is Person 1's sex?
7) What is Person 1's age and Date of Birth?
8) Is Person 1 of Hispanic, Latino or Spanish origin?
9) What is Person 1's race?
10) Does Person 1 sometimes live or stay somewhere else?

This means that there can be no “Census bureau estimates” showing fewer non-citizens, legal or otherwise.  “Experts” and “Census numbers” indicating lower illegal populations are speculative at best, and insulting when calling others propagandists.  The “misinformation” attack comes from Emilio Amaya, whose paycheck depends on his San Bernardino Community Center directorship, and its “aid to immigrants”.  The conservative “Propaganda” fabrication comes from John Husing, a “regional economist”, who considers the answers to the above questions to be “good evidence” for the defamation.

There are some fascinating charts about legal immigrants' movements and these are the only ones that can be counted accurately.  It is annoying when “immigrants” keep getting shoved into arguments about “illegal aliens”.  No one I know is concerned about those that have been checked and legally admitted.  Hispanic citizens, like everyone else, can go where they wish.  Americans do get upset when they obey the law, but then are told that those who knowingly infiltrate across our borders, smuggle in drugs or guns, forge documents to take jobs and consume massive chunks of our budget ($35,000 per household) must be given a “path to citizenship”.  My neighbor’s house is nicer than mine; I think I’ll just sneak in, use his name and make him find me a “path to ownership”.

Koren asserts (per vague “experts” and “advocates”) that the outrage of conservatives over billions of dollars in aid and services to illegals, borders open to all comers (illegal refugees, armed bandits, Al Qaida, etc), and surrender of American sovereignty in violation of the Constitution and federal law, “boils down to concerns that Latinos are rapidly… becoming California’s ethnic majority”.  He means that we are all lying racists.

Claims of record-breaking deportations are inflated.  Arrests are, in fact, up (evidence of increased illegal presence); but there is an engineered shortage of immigration prosecutors and judges, creating the claimed “back-log” that ICE and Homeland Security directors use as an excuse to ignore or dismiss cases.  These Obama appointees were recently given a unanimous vote of “no confidence” by ICE/Border Patrol agents, due to politics taking precedent over safety or law.  Now non-felony cases are being dropped en masse, at the point of deportation (after adjudication) by the Obama administration.  This same administration is suing the State of Arizona for trying to protect the citizens that the Feds are ignoring and have actually invited foreign, Socialist governments to file briefs in a case where they clearly have no standing.

You’ll notice that Leftist Gloria Allred and Socialist Jerry Brown did not hesitate to “out” the admitted illegal alien/former maid of Meg Whitman (who can document doing everything right).  They even presented evidence of her felony forgery, fraud and perjury in federal documents. There doesn’t seem to be too much concern that “poor Nikki” will get 5 years in prison and deported.

ICE agents’ observations and night-vision cameras on border trails prove the constant influx of armed, drug smuggling aliens, including Asians, Europeans and Middle-Easterners.  Calling Americans’ concern for security and sovereignty ‘racist propaganda to mislead voters’ is just further insult to the readers.

Please be reasonably polite, but especially be as accurate as you can. Provide sources if you have them. We might as well learn something. [Wikipedia and blogs are usually 'pointers', not authoritative sources; they indicate data that might be confirmed elsewhere (that's how I use them here)].
