WELCOME!
This blog consists mostly of common sense responses to happenings (news articles, political events, etc) that just cry out for someone to say "WHOA! Hang on a second, here!" Too many people get away with just inventing their own facts as they bull-rush their way through an argument.

Unless you're dodging a taxicab or sidestepping a falling gargoyle, it's usually wise to take what time is available to evaluate and apply actual common sense. Good, old wisdom. It is, of course, my opinion, but I'll try to show why I think it's factual.
Thomas Paine said, "To argue with someone who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead." ... but I argue with drunks, egomaniacs, anti-gun Statists, Socialist/Keynesians and climate-fraud peddlers, too.

**PLEASE share this around. I didn't research, consider, write and post this junk just to have it hidden.
And feel free to comment.**

Jerry "moonbeam" Brown really, really, wants to be governor again.  Brown was able to completely undo the improvements in economy and living conditions that Ronald Reagan left.  Since we are likely looking at a complete rejection of Progressive Socialist ideology in 2010 and 2012, he wants to do his part to save it.  He was honest (or loaded) enough in the '70s to admit that he wanted everyone unemployed and on welfare, and just plain wide open borders.  Y'all come!

This time, he's got semi-sober political folks doing his lying - er, commercials.  They came up with Whitman "raising eBAY's overhead by 2000% as she raised her own pay".  Wow.  Overhead increases when a company grows by 11,000% and bosses get more when their companies go Fortune 100.

If you haven't seen this finger-painting before, it is the official Gubernatorial portrait of Jerry Brown, hanging proudly in the State House alongside dignified images of our real Governors.  The Don Bachardy original cost us more than the $1.25 that it was worth (I have been unable to get a reliable quote of the actual fraud - er, commission, that Mr. Bachardy laughed over all the way to the bank).
I don't know about you, but I'm excited and proud at the prospect of having Moonbeam in charge again.  Triple the state payroll!  Let the nasssssty rich, racist haters pay for it!

Please be reasonably polite, but especially be as accurate as you can. Provide sources if you have them. We might as well learn something. [Wikipedia and blogs are usually 'pointers', not authoritative sources; they indicate data that might be confirmed elsewhere (that's how I use them here)].
